(Bio)
| "You Byun was
born in Queens, New York. She grew up in Japan and Korea, then moved back to New York to be a visual artist, getting her MFA for Illustration as Visual Essay from the School of Visual Arts.
You's work is a ritual that recollects and records her memories and emotions. She creates images that show conflicting moods(bliss and sadness, abundance and quiet), which reflects her belief that the nature of truth is often double-sided and fickle. She places her characters in lush environments that hopefully spreads joy through the world.
Her projects have included editorial assignments, gallery pieces, books, and stationary cards.
She currently resides in Brooklyn, New York."

"Her art lives in its own world where animals and children exist equally, and there are plenty of loveable metaphors and happy experiences."
It is also important to know, I love green tea and strawberry short cake.
